Following graduation from OHS in 1983, Mrs. Turner graduated from IRCC in 1985 and FSU in 1988. While majoring in retail at FSU she was a Marching Chief Majorette and on the FSU model board.
Following graduation from FSU, Mrs. Turner married her college sweetheart, George W. Turner, 1984 OHS graduate and 1988 United State Naval Academy graduate. As Lt. Turner served his country during Desert Shield on surface warfare ships, Mrs. Turner volunteered as an Ombudsman for the USS Dewey. Mr. Turner is the Vice-President of Six Sigma and a Master Black Belt for Rock-Tenn Company of Norcross, GA. They have 2 daughters; Kathleen age 15 and Elizabeth age 14.
Mrs. Turner is a Director on the Okeechobee Board of Realtors. She serves as the MLS Committee Chair for the Okeechobee County Board of Realtors. She is a small group youth leader at More 2 Life Church. She completed the Master Gardner training thru the UF/IFAS Okeechobee County Extension Service. She hopes to be a part of the formation of a 4-H Junior Master Gardner program for the youth of Okeechobee. In the past she volunteered with the Girl Scouts, March of Dimes and Beta Sigma Phi.
